Join the team as they start their 24-hour Extra Life journey with heated local competitive action.
Things are still just getting started, we haven't even had lunch yet, wait, we should probably order lunch! The first half of the Extra Life marathon continues with some rather difficult platforming and some MOBA action.
The marathon continues with a little solo action adventure game play. Watch as Tim and Lara learn Greek purely by looking at wall paintings, and as they fight off the elements while solving the traditional water puzzle.
The Yeti's in plaid start off their table top section of the Extra Life marathon with some cake slice incineration, and from there go on to much darker, colder, and zombie filled places.
Our venture into the depths of this dark dead winter continues with secret missions accomplished, for some, and traitors revealed.
The yeti crew heads back to the couch in shifts, some eat pizza while some pull triggers to aim and shoot, hopefully first. Afterwards, one of us heads off to explore the depths of space, hopefully without gaining too much attention.
After a visit to the couch from a cat and some technical difficulties while attempting to play Rocket League, which we do get to later in the evening, we try our hand at some fun competitive platform building.
As exhaustion becomes more apparent the team tries to subdue it with a few rounds of exciting soccar, and some successful (and otherwise) attempts at cutting wires, and guessing at Morse code, while defusing virtual bombs.
Watch as the Plaid Yeti team heads into the early morning hours of a new day with humorously animated fist fights, ducks with guns, and various pixelated sword fights.
The Plaid Yeti team attempts to wake up with some insane body flinging, and a mixture of imported puyo and tetrominoes. Basically, many attempts at stacking things appropriately.
With just 4 hours left the team continues to yawn through the morning with some classic GameCube games. Watch as they play goofy mega party games, and attempt to sleepily paint with tennis balls.
Watch as the team finishes off their Extra Life 2015 run with booms, attempts at frantically adding mustard to things, and more quacks. Thanks for watching, and a big thanks to anyone who donated to our cause!
Join us as we kick off our third year of Extra Life fun. We start the 2016 stream with tetromino stacking of a different variety, and then find ourselves with an urge to Jackbox party with their first pack.
After some slight controller woes the Plaid Yeti team continues the stream with chaotic pixelated sword fights, and the destructive heat and famine only found in a part managed part simulated space colony.
Our lengthy adventure continues with hard space choices, fortunate and some not so fortunate dice rolls, and questions of why. Then we partake in some crawling of the dungeon variety to see if the giant team monster can take on the one true hero.
The day rolls on with take one of games full of trap placement and trials to see if one can get through said traps. Followed by co-operative and otherwise classic plumber style cart racing. Oh, also food/dinner discussions.
The Plaid Yeti team continues the show with early yawns and more dinner talk, but quickly warm and wake up while on the links in the mushroom kingdom. Then they're on to exploring space with unique controls, taking out alien bugs, and rescuing space rabbits all with the power of .. love?
Watch as David becomes Kat (as he enjoys doing on the weekend) to defy the laws of gravity while hanging out with a cat, taking on foes, accidentally taking a few citizens on a quick ride, and venturing out on the ultimate balloon gathering quest.
The yetis in plaid venture back out into the depths of space. This time to test the destructive power of grenades, and to explore new lands in search of unseen life, if it can in fact be found. Then the crew continues their space journey by revisiting co-operative spacetimes.
With just slightly over half way through this great stream the team heads back down to the ground. First with some quick racing with grappling hooks and costume dependent jumping. Then they take it to the ring and other fun places, for their third straight Extra Life stream, in some super fun and goofily animated fisticuffs.
As the team heads in to the morning hours they revisit another third year Extra Life classic full of physical/virtual finger/limb stretching and body flinging all to gain the most height or distance. Afterward, the yetis try out a new take on an old style of game that they find to be a much needed zap.
Watch as the Plaid Yeti team groups up in unusual ways to push and pull for ball control. You know, sports. Next, after a much needed stream reboot, the team returns to trap making and platform breaking to find out who can be the ultimate animal.
In the wee morning hours the Plaid Yeti team attempts to stay awake with a varied assortment of games. First up, they try out a decent amount of modes which all involve driving cars into sports related objects. Next up, each member of the team tries to slyly control a tentacle. Lastly, much pixelated shooting ensues with heavily influenced movie-style bravado.
Thanks for watching! The stream comes to its end with hazardous kitchens full of cooks, the return (from last year) of the gun-toting ducks, and more amusing gelatinous punching.
Join the plaidyeti.com crew in this archive of their fourth Extra Life! We kick things off with many flinging arrows and cooperative robotic box stacking.
Stay tuned weekly as new videos of this archive are posted throughout the rest of November 2017.
Once lunch details are figured out we come back to some 1v1 fighting with Bears and Steve. Afterward, Joe gets down with the rhythm while slashing his way through random dungeons.
Solo time continues with some excellent team-based shooting with Alec. After lunch we all head back to the couch for a return to a party pack of games from our previous years of Extra Life.
As the afternoon rolls on we head back into some very dangerous space places with our save from last year, and then get back to some one on one action with a certain flying power disc.
It's mealtime with some cooperative burrito and hamburger building as we check out the first couple levels of The Lost Morsel DLC. Then we start our actual mealtime/solo gaming breaks as David learns how to combo and help out with Kiryu.
We Switch things up with: some strategic jumping, sliding, and shooting action with Mario's new friends, and then start solving puzzles by gearing up, shooting hoops, and snipping and/or clipping.
With just under half way to go we play some classic two-on-two football full of Waluigi shenanigans, and then try out a colorful puzzle party platformer with some great characters from other games.
As midnight quickly approaches we punch and kick each other with our favorite Nintendo characters and more. After midnight we try out a confusingly put together party game, and then take out waves of pixelated zombies with many weapons and robots.
With a new day upon us we get ready for the next (another) battle, since some of us missed out the day before, and then return to an annual favorite involving competitively stacking up the improperly dressed.
Whilst deep in the middle of the night we: return to an ultra fast stylish tennis-like game from the past, try some solo and team tower building, and brawl with a new type of bro.
As we head closer to morning we fill in extra time by: spelling and slashing our way towards... somewhere, take an updated look at a great and humorous brawler, and work together to make our way through a cyberpunk rogue-lite.
Watch as we close out our fourth Extra Life stream with: a one-on-one tournament of sorts (now with more pixels, outfits, and weapon types), small yet tricky 2D skateboarding, and lastly a return to more classic cooperative cookery. Thanks for watching!
Join plaidyeti.com as we kick off this archive of our momentous 5th year of Extra Life!
We start this year with looting/slashing our way through a new take on a classic 4-player dungeon crawler followed by a brightly colored two-tone stealth bird brawler.
As the first morning turns into lunch time we start our first batch of solo games with some stylistic silent assassin action followed by horse riding mayhem and good times with Lenny.
We roll into the post lunch hours with some hyper active sports ball with various levels of brain juice and then start flinging ingredients and avoiding fire in a sometimes manic kitchen, if you could call it that.
As the afternoon heads into early evening we dive into a party of sorts with: all sorts of fibbing, potentially underwhelming internet humor, unconventional moonlit dating, the best bracketed matchups, and unusual co-operative drawings.
With dinner comes another round of solo games, with that comes: blasting robots and aliens in a couple of classic SNES titles, and kicking and tackling our way through the latest FIFA game.
After dinner we run into some game patching issues that impact the normal schedule, so we press on by noticing our surpassed donation goal and celebrate with some international competitive disc throwing, and then collect coins while brawling through town.
Watch us as we pass the 12 hour mark while working together to battle ferocious fires in a couple of different houses in a jazzy digital take on a popular board game. A missed solo finally comes to fruition, as well, somewhat unsuccessfully.
As we close out our first night and head into a new day we take on each other in a clay-like pixelated glory of gore in a tournament of duels for the ages. Next we start teaming up with a barrage of various projectiles to see who still stands by the end.
Our new early morning continues with a duplicated hour and much time to fill so we climb a goat and each other in a Plaid Yeti Extra Life staple. After that we try out a new, to us, kind of party game where we must use text with some humorous yet overall mixed results.
After some problems with player count claims and joy-con controller syncing we move on to some bombing battle action, with a very relatable blue sleepy bomber, through a variety of different modes and stages.
Our second morning continues with a largely merciless bout of various bow and arrow style, 5 player, combat in the somewhat recently released version of a popular pixelated couch competitive hit.
We close out our (5th year) 25 hour stream with a solid hour-and-a-half of eager anticipation of an, at the time, upcoming sequel by fighting one another, in this Wii U smash hit, with some of our favorite Nintendo, and otherwise, characters. Thank you for watching this years stream/archive! Stay tuned for future streams/videos.
Join us as we kick off our 2019 Extra Life adventure with a return to a group favorite. Watch as we eat many a table fowl, run into our fair share of spike traps, and attempt to slash down troublesome foes and bosses alike.
With one game down, and many hours to go, we venture onto a brighter game with a jazzy soundtrack. Watch as we work together to rescue people, who choose to hide in the strangest places, and battle blazes in this board game turned electronically interactive.
Our lunch break begins with the first solo side venture. Come along as Joe searches for a (well timed for the season) spooky ghost, deals with grenade hysteria, and falls into a predictable (for the series) boss pit.
The lunch break continues with our next solo trek. Join Ken in the passenger seat as he fights with latency and a different control setup, shows off his turbo skills in a themed Stranger Things arena, and tallies up many a goal/assist.
Now that our lunch break is over we can head back to some co-op action. Watch as the team goes 2v2 in this retro-styled, character based, new(ish) take on tennis with an extra layer of spin.
Our afternoon rolls on and things heat up with a group favorite. Watch as we work together flinging ingredients, throwing things together, and trying not to burn the kitchen down.
In this next game block we go one on one in a glorious tournament of pixelated combat. Join us and enjoy the fierce competition to see who can be first eaten by the norse dragon, for some reason.
Gosh, didn't we just do our lunch break?! Time flies... Anyway, watch Nick kick off the solo dinner block with his arcade shooter skills as he checks out many options/expansions in this beast of a game, and takes down many large alien crustaceans.
The last of the solo blocks highlight some newness in this PS4 early access game of games. Watch as we check out a souls-like, try our hands at voice acting in a seemingly expansive RPG, check out a spooky house, and explore a beach with some odd side-effects.
With Halloween right around the corner we decided to try something a little different this year. A full playthrough of the latest from Supermassive Games. In this first part, join the team as we check out the first couple hours of the game. Can we keep everyone alive and hit all the right buttons in time? Stay tuned to find out.
In this second part of our playthrough we see the story through to its end. Watch to see if we can hold the group together, and how our version of this story concludes. Will we get the ending we all want? Join us and find out.
With all that spookiness behind us we head back to the competition with this frantic, pixelated, and colorful classic game of sport. Watch as we face off and see who is this years Flying Power Disc Champion.
After a somewhat quick battle with controllers we come back to some co-operative puzzle solving. With roughly 8 hours left, a solid work day, we scratch our heads and solve a few tricky puzzles, some take us longer than others.
As the very early morning ticks on things get highly competitive with the battling of various colored pixel filled stick people. Things get fierce with melee combat, destroyed platforms, various guns, snakes, and wait... snake guns?!?
Our adventure moves on with more chromatic warfare. This time of the tank variety. Watch as we go all out in this two-dimensional action game with a flare for unusual physics, and neat looking arenas.
Do we really only have 5 hours to go?! Watch as we remain locked in battle (this time of a puzzling type) which involves matching blocks with unusual faces as we play as a strange cast of characters. Like that potato, or wait I think it's a sausage?
In this next game we check out a, new for us, unique take on the local multiplayer FPS. Watch us as we explore many modes and fun weaponry, in a party of sorts, where you must intuit your place purely by looking at all four quarters of screen space.
Welcome to this years new group favorite. Hilarity ensues in this co-operative, finger bending physics platformer. Grab our hands as we take on many levels by stringing together, swinging precariously, avoiding many dangerous spikes, and sometimes losing track of ourselves once the colors start to fly.
Wow, the end of this years adventure is closing in fast. Watch as we try our best (occasional control preference issues and character death hiccups aside) to make our way through some popular levels in the latest build-your-own Mario game.
We close out our latest Extra Life adventure with Smash once again. Watch us as we brawl with some of our favorite Nintendo characters, as well as check out the roster (of availably released) season 1 characters, in the latest and fullest Smash Bros. game to date. Thank you for watching this years stream/archive! Stay tuned for more videos/streams in the future.
